At long last we have launched our online shopping cart.  Our objective is to provide our customers with a single site where they can not only find the birds that they are looking for, but also the maintenance supplies necessary for their proper upkeep.

We are continuing to negotiate with suppliers to add many of the health supplements and other accessories that have become increasingly hard to find.  Keep visiting the store to see these new products as they become available.

We have completed the expansion of our interior shelf space to contain the extra cages of birds that we have recently acquired.  Our general practice is to separate the birds into species groups.  The males are in the upper cages while the hens are housed in cages on the lower level.  In this way customers can choose the pair that they want from the selection available in the cages.

We are continuing to accumulate a large quantity of supplies inventory in preparation for launching our online shopping cart.  I know that many of you are very impatient for this to appear, along with the long awaited photos of our birds that we have for sale.  Well, all that I can tell you is that we have been very busy with the new bird acquisitions as well as the interior expansions necessary to house them properly.  It just seems that when these opportunities arise to purchase quality birds at a reasonable price, inevitably, the customer will benefit.

We have revised our "about us" page to be a little more descriptive of our business philosophy.  It must be working.  Every month we seem to expand a little bit in one direction or another (and I'm not talking about our waist line).  Thanks to all of our customers, both new and old for helping us to achieve our goal of being the best finch house in the USA.

Our New Storefront.

Downtown Miamisburg has numerous historical buildings in the merchandising sector.  This design is intended to bring some of the "turn-of-the-century" building features into our look.  Don't forget, plans are also underway to paint a mural on the large wall not affected by our storefront modifications.

  I'm happy to report that business continues to improve on a regular basis.  Our "walk in" trade is getting better all the time and we are pleased with the number of customers that drive a considerable distance to visit our store. Thank You to everyone.

During the coming year we plan to remodel the exterior appearance of the store.  Part of the new facade will be a mural on our long wall that will be created by renowned artist Eric Henn.  Since our building is on the main corner of a gateway into the historic downtown of Miamisburg, the city fathers are very interested in our making a good first impression on visitors to the town.

UPDATE ON THE MURAL

They have begun working on the the building. They have filled in the side windows, remodeled all the sidewalks, a new street light on the side of the building, like the one seen in the front of the building. They also reconstructed the storeroom door in the back and lastly a new shipping door. We hope to have the the artist start his work sometime soon.

As we receive graphic proposals of the renovation from our architect, we will publish them on our website.  Below is a photo of the building as it was when we first purchased it.  It hasn't changed much except that we have added a couple of signs.
